What does an ANF Rep do?
- Represent members at your workplace and promote the policies and activities of ANF – through meetings and disseminating information.
- Provide a vital communication link between the ANF office and the workplace on critical and specific workplace issues, and on the field of practice or nursing generally.
- Recruitment of new ANF members and encourage active involvement from existing members.
- Opportunity to actively participate in EBA negotiations.
- Provide support and assistance to other workplace Reps.
- Referral of members to seek advice, information or assistance from ANF.
- Empower members to get involved.
How much work is it?
- We encourage active involvement – but know your time is valuable and acknowledge this as a voluntary role – so you decide on your level of involvement.
- We don’t expect you to know everything – just assist members by directing their queries.
- You can stop being a Rep or take a break from it any time you choose.
