Agenda for Children and Young People
ANF has prepared a submission for the Agenda for Children and Young People.
Key recommendations:
- Increase the level of post natal care referrals to the Family and Child Health nurses within the community from the acute setting following the discharge of new mother’s home from hospital.
- Continue the “See you at Home’ Program which is currently being run by the Child Health and Parenting Service.
- Bring back the school nurse within the Tasmanian School system. All schools should have a school nurse whom children and young people are able to access.
- Improve Youth Health out reach services.
- Improve communication between Child protection and the Acute Sector.
